August 14, 2026, Manila - Yuchengco-led PetroEnergy Resources Corporation (PERC) posted a consolidated net income of ₱498 million for the first half of 2026, up by 7.28% from ₱464 million in the same period last year. This is driven by the continued expansion of its renewable energy (RE) portfolio and stronger oil operations. Net income attributable to equity holders of the parent company rose 30.54% to ₱328 million from ₱251 million, with earnings per share increasing to ₱0.576 from ₱0.441.
Revenues for the period grew 8.14% to ₱2.16 billion, supported by an 11.76% increase in electricity sales to ₱1.78 billion as new RE facilities came online, including the additional wind turbines at Nabas-2, the Limbauan Solar Power Project – Phase 2, and the Bugallon Solar Power Project. Oil revenues likewise rose 23.26% to ₱303 million, driven by higher crude prices.
The Group achieved growth in consolidated net income for the first half of the year despite higher expenses, including a 17.83% rise in interest expense to ₱355 million due to new project-related borrowings driven by market interest rate hikes. Cost of sales increased modestly by 1.24% to ₱1.13 billion, tempered by favorable crude oil inventory movements. Stronger revenues lifted second-quarter results, with consolidated net income rising 40.42% to ₱257 million and net income attributable to the parent up by 74.56% to ₱188 million.
As of June 30, 2026, PERC’s consolidated assets reached ₱25.76 billion, up by 6.66% year-on-year, reflecting its continued investments in renewable energy projects. Equity attributable to parent shareholders rose 3.86% to ₱8.64 billion, lifting book value per share to ₱15.20 from ₱14.63. The company continues the disciplined expansion of its renewable energy and oil portfolio, including wind, solar, and energy storage projects, in line with its long-term strategy of diversified and sustainable growth.
